Hello everyone,
The past few days SquidTop’s been bombarded by spammers and bots that have been taking over and posting their garbage. We apologize for that. It’s really a shame that people have to come in and spoil things for hard working folks like ourselves. Fortunately, we’ve been fighting them tooth and nail, and have a system in place that (hopefully) will keep them away.
With this problem taken care of, we can go back to working on some of the other things that aren’t working completely right, and add more cool new features to the site. Please bear with us.
Happy blogging!

You are terrific. I hate spammers. They try to ruin everything fun and good with their self-centered laziness.

I’d post this more personally, but I can’t find a feedback form or anything like that.
My question is: why does there only seem to be one post of mine on the front page of squidtop at a time. The previous post seems to disappear when I post something new. I don’t quite get that, because other people do have two or more posts on the front page.

spirituality - your blog’s most recent post shows up on the front page. Nobody has more than one blog post on the front page at the same time. However, people have made more than one blog, and so the most recent post for each of their blogs is on the front page. Since people with multiple blogs have the same avatar it can look like they’ve got more than one post up.
Hope this helps.

Hm. I get it. So I guess I will have to decide whether it’s worth it to create several blogs. The effect is likely to get less anyhow as this site gets more popular.
Since I have trouble enough getting my one blog to behave as I want it to, I guess creating several isn’t going to be my thing.

It’s because I’m special.
Just wanted to note that I am still getting regular spam comments. Wondering why they’re always on the same posts? Just weird to me that they’re not hitting the newest, but the posts on BlogCatalog and Technorati from where I was claiming my blogs. I bet it’s thanks to those Comment Hut guys.

I’ve been getting almost daily spam comments for the last week. Like Susan they are often on the same post. I keep marking all of the comments as spam.
