Trying Some Theme Stuff

Just playing around with the main page’s theme a bit…let us know what you think and please feel free to offer some suggestions! Maybe we can come up with a neat-looking theme, or we can keep the old one if everyone prefers.

    Here’s a list of suggestions for you, though they’re not limited to just the theme:

    1. Posts don’t have titles. They should, both on each person’s blog, and on each individual post.

    2. Can we have a friend feature? The front page is getting kinda busy, and I only want to follow a few of them. Each person would then have their own page of ‘friends’.

    I was just going to say the same thing Fluff about the Subjects.

    They appear on the list of posts in the main blog, but not on the individual blogs..

    Agree with the friend feature, not a bad idea…
    It’s coming along nicely

    With the Captain’s help we’ve gotten some of these things worked out, but we’re still working on the ‘friend feature’ and post date/time on the front page and other things.

    Color looks good. Why cant we do away with ‘Recent Tags’? In any case the RSS is not working. Better we have RSS for bloggers. Just a suggestion….

    kenmengr, not sure what you mean by RSS not working. Each individual blog has a feed at

    blog.squidtop.com/feed/

    And there’s an RSS link at the top of each blog.

    I’m not sure I care about the colors so much. It’s not pretty, but it’s not painful.

    I’m noticing that bullets are rendering oddly. They’re a different font and extend past the left margin. Just not looking right. Check out my diary for examples as that’s where I tend to use them the most.

    Oh, and why do the Google ads on my blog look different from the ones on here? I like the pretty blue box better than what I’m seeing on mine. Is that a setting I have to do? I just assumed it was part of the theme.
